Round 7 DMCRC
Sunday the 20th October was the last round of this years SICC hosted by DMCRC
Many thanks to all there members for all the hard work they put in to put on an excellent meeting to end the series.
Lots of friendly banter was seen during the day and everyone seemed to be having a great days racing.
It was very nice to see Jane in attendance helping out on the refreshments and handing out trophies.

MINI
As with round 6 Jamie from Frome was away in front from the first heat of qualifying. The 2 drivers up for the championship running further down the field . In the finals jamie ran away with it followed by 2 of DMCRC's members. At the end of both finals the 2 drivers up for the overall win in the series had managed to finish on equal points so the series came down to a count back as neither driver had completed a extra round. 1st Jamie Carpenter 2nd Paul Bravery 3rd Steve Elford |
BLINKY
Our top 3 drivers from the championship arrived at poole with 3 points covering the top 3. Daniel currently running 3rd in the champonship managed to take pole followed by Martin and Alan. Our 2 other championship stars Simon and Mike running further down the field. At the end of it all both Daniel and Mike finished the series on the same points so round five came into play giving Daniel the championship. 1st Daniel Blake 2nd Martin Young 3rd Alan Read |
Boosted
Coming into the final round Liam had the boosted championship all but sorted the only person who could touch him was Andy from Bristol but he would need the win to do it . At the end of the 3 qualifying rounds John from poole was sat one pole so andy had it all to do. John had other plans and at the end of the 2 legs John came out on top so Andy will have to try again next year 1st John Pape 2nd Andy Travis 3rd Tim Woren |
GT12
The GT12 championship was wide open coming into round 7 as only 1 driver had so far completed 3 rounds needed to get an overall result. The pace of the day was set by DMCRC's Stuart Parnell and Marcus Askell . At the end of qualifying Marcus was on pole, Stuart had problems in the finals leaving Marcus to take the win with nick second and John 3rd 1st Marcus Askell 2nd Nick Snelgrove 3rd John Pryor |
1/12th
The 1/12th championship was already decided for 1st and 2nd so it was third up for grabs. On the day Darryl was in front from rnd 1 and went on to take ftd and both final wins. Several of the others had problems during the day Martin a servo, Chris with handling problems and Adam having some teathing problems with his new Yokomo .
